 Building Hope Building Commitment (BHBC) is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to preventing homelessness and enhancing housing stability in the Charlotte Metro Service area. 

 We collaborate with community members, landlords, faith-based organizations, and local government agencies to secure safe, affordable housing solutions for individuals and families facing housing instability. We understand that those in transitional situations are particularly vulnerable and may struggle without the necessary support. Our mission is to provide that support, helping our clients not just survive, but thrive. BHBC offers a range of services designed to meet the unique needs of landlords and property managers, ensuring high occupancy rates and minimizing eviction risks. Our goal is to create a stable living environment for tenants while ensuring that property owners achieve their desired outcomes 

PLACEMENT AND PROGRAM SERVICES:

Building Hope Building Commitment (BHBC) offers a comprehensive Program Housing Service Package designed to stabilize individuals and families while supporting housing retention. This package includes tenant placement, individualized case management, rent facilitation, and program oversight—all embedded within a trauma-informed, wraparound care model.

Instead of traditional property management, BHBC operates a community-based housing support program within partner-owned properties. We place participants who are committed to self-sufficiency and surround them with the support they need to succeed in housing—reducing turnover, increasing housing stability, and advancing community well-being.

Our team remains actively engaged through monthly check-ins, crisis response, accountability planning, and progress reporting. If a participant is not a good fit for the program, BHBC will coordinate a transition plan and work to ensure that the next placement is better aligned.

To sustain this level of service and impact, BHBC invites partners to the table with a 10% monthly Member fee based on the unit’s rental value. This fee supports the administration, staffing, and service delivery necessary to operate the program out of your property.

This partnership model allows property owners and community partners to invest in social impact while receiving consistent support from a mission-aligned service provider.

PLACEMENT-ONLY SERVICE:

For landlords and property owners who prefer to manage their own properties but want qualified, vetted tenants, BHBC offers a Placement-Only option. For a one-time donation of $150 per placement, we provide a detailed tenant profile that includes verified documentation, housing history, income sources, and relevant support system information—equipping you with everything you need to make an informed leasing decision.

While BHBC does not provide ongoing support or guarantee housing outcomes under this option, we are committed to connecting you with participants who demonstrate readiness for housing and a commitment to stability. Our goal is to help you maintain consistent occupancy with tenants who are set up to succeed.
